CAEMHSE's business is accreditation of college and university emergency management and homeland security programs.
 
There are two kinds of accreditation: CAEMHSE's recognition as an accrediting body and CAEMHSE's efforts at evaluating (assessing) emergency management and homeland security programs at colleges and universities to determine that they meet established standards and criteria that describe a quality program. Such programs educate students effectively and equip them for the emergency management and homeland security arenas, particularly for employment.
